Ghana

Breaking Barriers for Broader Boundaries has been the theme around which we rally at Family Life Fellowship. This theme came through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit as we pondered how we could be a relevant representation of the Lord Jesus in a rapidly changing world. The Lord's final instructions to the Apostles as stated in Matthew 28:19-20 was to go into all the nations and to preach the good news to every creature. They were to make disciples, to teach the doctrines of Jesus and to baptize them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Ghana missions was birthed out of the desire to constantly prioritize and effectively execute this mandate of The Lord Jesus Christ. FLF has, since 2015, been traveling to Ghana to serve at 'Save Them Young Orphanage" in Ashiaman which is approximately a 45 minute drive from Accra. We also added an outreach to Ada which is about a 2 hour drive from Accra. Our previous missions trips have resulted in the construction of a new kitchen and dining hall for the home. We anticipate that our subsequent trips will drastically improve the living conditions of the children at the orphanage in Ashiaman.

Haiti

Our missionary is currently in Haiti.

Stay tuned for an exciting update that will be coming soon!

Jamaica

We were able to share the love of God with the people of Jamaica. We fed the homeless and hungry. We visited the sick in the hospital and the shut ins at home. We also blessed widows and orphans. Young people to whom we ministered, gave their lives to Christ. We helped several people with funds for small business startup.

It was truly a fulfilling experience to witness the impact of our visit on the people of Jamaica.

Our mission is to collaborate with churches, other organizations and governments to give scholarships to the orphans and to empower widows through micro-financing, building of piggery and other small-scale industries that will provide employment opportunities for widows and/or their children. We are ministering in obedience to God’s commandment in the Scripture. (James; 1:27).

Over the past 3 years, we have provided food, clothing, and medical treatments to approximately 3,200 widows in Nigeria. Thirty-six of them received financial support (micro-financing) to start small-scale businesses. The ministry adopted two orphanages in Nigeria, bought them water tanks and New Hope ministries continues to supply the orphans with food and clothing.
In addition, we’ve given financial assistance to twenty-two widows in Jacmel and Hinche Provinces, Haiti.

Many widows, orphans and community leaders have come to know the Lord through the power of the Holy Spirit’s working through New Hope Ministries.

Trinidad

A team of 4, which included Pastor Agabus, traveled to Trinidad and Tobago. During our visit we had the privilege of praying  for the sick at the Port of Spain General Hospital; blessing the children at the  Cyril Ross Nursery in Tunapuna with food, clothing, much love and prayers and hosting a dinner for the staff and residents,.  We were also privileged to enjoy fellowship with the Foursquare Missions team at the transcultural training center in San Fernando.

As we traveled to the Island of Tobago we ministered and prayed with people on the ferry and were overjoyed when 4 people gave their lives to Christ. After we docked, we prayed with a man who we very depressed and contemplating suicide due to unbearable cancer pain.  We’ve received report that this man was healed and that he anxiously awaits our return to the Island.

Sunday was a special day as we took advantage of an opportunity to Minister at a small village church where our Pastor Agabus shared the word powerfully with the villagers. We gladly share that we were able to bless the people of Trinidad, by meeting their physical needs by distributing 4 barrels of food and clothing and meet their spiritual needs through the word and prayer.  The trip was a blessing to the people  of Trinidad and Tobago  and a blessing to the FLF  Missions team.  We say, “to God be the glory”!
